Fashionista Of The Week ; Nina Hanekom-Nortje

 1. Describe your style in three words.

Girly, overdone and experimental

2. What is your favourite pattern in clothes?

Probably leopard print, but tribal print is really growing on me

 3. Which FIVE clothes item would you save from a burning fire?

My black t-bar heels from Rage, my black LBD from Mr Price, my beige crochet heels from Edgars and any 2 of my many statement necklaces from Sass Diva. It's amazing how many looks you can get from a basic dress and statement accessories.

4. who is your personal fashion icon?

I have so many because I'm addicted to fashion blogs, but at the moment I get so many outfit ideas from Julie Sardinana from Sincerely, Jules. She makes casual outfits look super trendy, which is something I would like to be able to do.

5. Your favorite  fashion Stores?

I die for Mr Price and Sass Diva. Definitely my two favorites.

6. Who’s the worst dressed person in your opinion?

I can't really think of people that dress badly, rather people that don't dress according to my style

7. Which beauty items can’t you live without?

Black eyeliner, black mascara and my Revlon 0112 lipstick.

8. Who is your favorite designer and why?

Zuhair Murad. He has the most amazing, feminine designs.

9. What’s the worst outfit you’ve ever worn?

When I was 13, I sported red leather pants on a mountain in Switzerland. Epic fail.

10. The most expensive item in your closet?

. My matric farewell dress, which cost about R1000 to make. After that, an evening dress which cost R400. I'm not big on expensive designer items, so most of my clothes are relatively cheap.

11. Fashion Dos and Don'ts?

11. DO: take chances, try different things. You never know when you can inspire someone or find a style that really suits you.
DON'T: follow trends blindly. There are lots of trends that I would love to try, but I know it won't suit me or my body type. Sometimes you really look your best when you're comfortable in something that suits you.

12. Any fashion advice?

The only real advice that I have is to find a style that suits you and emphasize it. Focus on what you love about yourself and do what you can to accentuate it.
